Future Wife….Untapped potential….

So…we have had mountain climbing, river wading and my future husband seems content to spend quite a lot of his time in my valley as well (the CHERWELL Valley..where I live before you start getting smutty) so it would seem that in terms of what he has to offer in terms of contributing to my general well being, it has thus far been pretty much confined to some astonishing bedroom action and outdoor pursuits (not forgetting the extremely professional job he has done on my shower).
But no….! Apparently he has ‘untapped potential’! How VERY exciting! Having achieved a near perfect score in DIY, Future Husband has now ventured back out to the great outdoors. He got extremely over excited when he spotted my newly acquired (OK borrowed) cordless hedge trimmer. Proudly holding the gardening gadget aloft in some kind of gladiator pose he announced to the shock/delight/amusement of the neighbours and possibly some people in the next couple of villages that it was ‘really time I gave your front bush a jolly good trim darrrling!’
And off he went-to the front garden to treat my privet to a Brazillian. Deep joy.
Since then he has continued to surpass himself by making burgers for a family bbq and being the perfect host as well as sharing private jokes with my mother about the origins of Bannoffee pie (“I had no idea it was called that because it is made of bananas and toffee, I actually thought it was named after a place in Canada!”)-WHAT!!!!!
Oh how they laughed!!!!
During a short stroll in the valley with the dog yesterday evening, I felt it was only fair to congratulate Future Husband on his accomplishments over the bank holiday weekend. He did a great job after all.
“It’s my pleasure, believe me I have a lot of untapped potential.”
Can’t wait for next weekend!
