Cherwell Valley Today-supporting local businesses

Our lovely new lifestyle blog Cherwell Valley Today has been rebranded, had a bit of a cool make over thanks to the lovely Steve, and is now looking more gorgeous than we thought possible.
Created to bring together the best things that Oxfordshire life has to offer, we want to reach out to local businesses, venues and events to get on board with us and work in partnership to promote what they do.

Lifestyle. Events. Businesses. Venues

It is a pretty simple concept and one that we hope local businesses will really be able to understand and benefit from. We are local, care passionately about supporting local enterprises and events and we already have a very loyal following of readers who LOVE the brands and businesses that we write about.

I have worked with small businesses and start ups for years-first as a business journalist and then as a PR consultant, providing straight forward media packages to help clients to raise their profiles.

Cherwell Valley Today is a project that I see as a natural progression and gives me the chance to work with even more businesses and help them to reach new audiences, while at the same time providing us with some really exciting and inspiring content for our lovely readers to enjoy.

For many business owners, the thought of ‘doing some PR’ fills them with horror because they assume it will be complicated, time consuming and expensive. It can be all of those things which is why Cherwell Valley Today has created its Media Support Kit to help businesses to get ahead and raise their profiles.

Through our chats with local business owners, we know how hard the marketplace is-we are a small business too after all! Many are sick and tired of throwing good money after bad booking advertising with local free sheets, cheaply produced magazines and local papers that are no longer even produced in the area let alone packed with relevant local content, and fail to reach the right kind of customer.

After a few of these conversations it became abundantly clear that some sort of support package was needed and it got us thinking! After all, Cherwell Valley Today is owned and operated by the creative team at Mediabird so surely it would make sense to put our heads together and come up with a plan!

And so that is exactly what we did and here it is!

Drum roll please…The Mediabird Business Support Kit!
